When I was growing up, I remember hearing we were heading back to global cooling — an “ice age” — which most folks in the Midwest and northeast may agree with right now.
It seems just yesterday we were being warned about global warming. But when empirical evidence didn’t support that theory, the poll-tested marketing lexicon of the progressive socialists was changed to “climate change” – on which I must agree, per winter, spring, summer, and fall. OK, I’ll stop being facetious but then again, based on the absolutely stupid statement by US Secretary of State this past weekend in Jakarta, Indonesia, you’ll forgive my sudden onset of wittiness.
As reported by The Blaze, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry called climate change perhaps the world’s “most fearsome” destructive weapon and mocked those who deny its existence or question its causes, comparing them to people who insist the Earth is flat.
In a sense, climate change can now be considered the world’s largest weapon of mass destruction, perhaps even, the world’s most fearsome weapon of mass destruction,” Kerry told Indonesian students, civic leaders and government officials.
Excuse me? I’ve had three trips into combat zones, so I kind of know a little thing about threats and danger.
